Every company has a place where its story begins. For Lummus Supply, that place is Bolton Road.
In 1925, Robert H. Lummus Sr. began pumping sand from nearby Proctor Creek and delivering it throughout Atlanta. The business expanded into sand and coal before evolving into a building materials company after World War II. In 1961, a new facility was built on Bolton Road, creating the original home office that still serves builders across metro Atlanta today.
Five generations later, the company continues to operate from the same location while supporting customers from five locations throughout the region.
Today, the Bolton Road yard supports many of Atlanta's custom home builders, remodelers, and contractors with doors, windows, millwork, engineered wood, lumber, and building materials. It remains the foundation of the company and reflects the service model Lummus has built over the last century: plan ahead, communicate early, and help keep the job moving.
